Veteran Services Reintegration and

Reconnect Training Programs

In May 2011, our Board of Directors determined that many of the families we serve are military (active, reserve and retired) families.  The recurring theme found through intake and subsequent referrals had indicators of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

They also concluded there were limited faith-based training resources for both church counseling ministries and secular providers. The current military capability in treating PTSD for both Active Duty and Veterans are overwhelmed with the sheer  numbers of personnel needing services in the community.

Additionally, members and their families often fail to seek assistance because of the following:

As a result of the above findings and community assessment, a collaborative partnership was formed to meet the needs of Service Members, Veterans and their Families or Caregivers to strengthen Families' Resiliency for more productive lives.
